Okay.. but why...: You do not need to spend your time worrying about how many cups of water you drink. There is water value in other things you consume, like soups, juices, fruits,vegetables. If you take in enough to pee every 6-8 hours you are doing fine. A person could live their life & never drink a cup of water, as long as they took in appropriate other fluid value.
