I may have accidentally gotten selsun blue near the edge of my eye and forgot to wash it. area is now slightly irritated. do i put vaseline on it to help it heal? and how long does it take to heal? put warm water compress on it yesterday to help?

Selsun Blue is not harmful to your eyes so it can be used as a hair shampoo and we expect the solution may get in the eye at times. If you already washed the eye thoroughly yesterday your eye should be fine, the irritation should resolve next day.
