Need more info: If you are otherwise healthy, leave your weight alone. In a few years you will gain weight, without trying and then wish for it to be lower. As long as you have not had a recent unintended weight loss, do not worry about your low bmi. If you have any symptoms, e.g., diarrhea, anemia, weakness, skin changes, please consult your doctor.

What do you want?: The "body mass index" is used primarily in epidemiologic studies and I have misgivings about physicians talking about it. John cena has a bmi of "obese" and hugh jackman is "overweight", while most high school elite track runners and swimmers are "underweight." it's stupid. Your best weight is what looks and feels right to you when you enjoy a reasonable level of physical fitness.
