35 year old female, bmi 23, cardio daily, food sensitivities.blood work was ordered to check thyroid function after describing symptoms to pcp. results fall within normal range. tsh 4.2, free t4 1.15. could these numbers still be causing symptoms?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, as your doctor said, the results are normal and not a likely explanation for your symptoms. Wish you good health!

Numbers do not cause symptoms. Especially if in normal range for you lab. YOUR BODY IS TALKING TO YOU! Listen & take good notes. When does it start/stop? Where does it go? What makes it better/worse? How long does it last? Medication helps/worsens?
If you think it is something you eat/drink/do stop it & see. If better, go back again & retest until u r convinced it is something Then stop.
