Plantar Fasciits: Swelling of the plantar fascia on the bottom of the heel causes a lot of pain. Since heel is the first part of the foot that hits the floor when we walk, it continues to stay swollen. Must go see a podiatrist and you can apply ice at this time until you get in and see a podiatrist. They will be able to help you more, you may possibly need a cortisone injection if the case is severe and acute.
