Fatigue, dehydration: Muscle fatigue due to physical exertion, dehydration with loss of electrolytes contribute to leg cramping. Venous insufficiency with leg swelling aggravates the situation. Remedy with ice massages of aching muscles, adequate hydration with Gatorade or equivalent, stretching exercises.
