YES!!!!: Despite the insanity of the health care systems throughout the world, evidence-based medicine is still the most direct way of helping others. The tipoff that medicine is right for you is that rigorous science (i.e., those chemistry and biology problems in high school) was fascinating and fun. Best wishes.
