Lorazepam is: A benzodiazapine medication that is used for anxiety. I once took a vallium (a different benzodiazapine) for a back injury and fell asleep for over 24 hours. It can be potent and effects some people more strongly then others. Please let the prescribing doctor know how you tolerated the Lorazepam as it can be very sedating.

Response: Lorazepam is a tranquilizer, and suppose your doctor is stressed about the effect your job may have on you. Likely concerned about your panicky reactions. But if you took it and it knocked you out, would not take again. Discuss reaction with your physician.
