Massage with oil.: Oral vitamin E is not harmful (except in high doses), but massage with the vitamin E oil (or any oil) is likely more helpful than taking it orally. Ultraviolet avoidance is also critical when the scar is immature and pink, to minimize hyperpigmentation. Use a high spf chapstik for facial scars--easy to use and keep with you!

Doesn't matter: Vitamin e has never been shown to be truly effective for scars whether oral or topical. The massage associated with it and the moisturizing effect of the "oil" may reflect the true effective component.

Only the oil: Using the oil and massaging the scar should help with the long term result.
