HLA B27: Persons with hla b27 often have eye problems, such as uveitis. Uveitis is usually treated with steroids, which can lead to cataracts and glaucoma. By prosthetic, I am not sure if you are referring to losing the eye or an intraocular implant following cataract surgery... Many patients with hla b27 require close followup with the ophthalmologist because eye complications are common.

Uveitis!: Uveitis is one of the leading causes of blindness in the working age people. Having said that it is probably a statistic from 10+ years ago, when there were no biological infusions or intravitreal injections. The leaps and bound in the rheumatology and uveitis treatment have been eneromous. See an up to date rheumatologist and an ophthalmologist that will aggressively treat this!
