Long Term treatment: This condition at this point has no cure so treatment is often life long. Regular assessment by a rhuematologist is needed so the disease can be followed, reactions to medications monitored and referral to surgeons set up if problems arise (ie spinal stenosis, fractures, infections from immuno-supression etc).

Talk to your doc: If you come off the medicine you may relapse. Everybody responds differently. Sometimes you can off and go on nsaids.
