Shouldn't be: Things should be okay. Keep hydrated and keep your fever down. Let your doctor know what's going on.

Don't worry!: Hfm dz is not very common among healthy adults. When we do catch it, it is usually just an annoying couple of days with some fever, and red bumps in the mouth and on the hands and feet. If you catch it late in the pregnancy, and your baby does contract it, it is usually mild. Make sure your obgyn knows about it.

Probably not.: Hand, foot and mouth is a viral disease primarily of children. Since most adults are immune, it's unlikely that you will get it during pregnancy. If you think you have it, see a dermatologist, because it may be something else. If you do have hfm during pregnancy, it is likely to be mild and not dangerous to baby (with some concern mainly if you have at it at time of delivery).
