Depends on med used: That depends on the medicine that was used. Some are pretty short acting, and it doesn't take long for it to wear off. Other types of medicines can last longer. As far as septic shock, the shock is the body's reaction to the infection. Once the infection is treated, hopefully the shock will improve.

Depends: Depends on how badly the organs have failed during the septic shock episode - particularly kidneys and liver that clear medicines from the body. So it may be immediate or delayed up to several days. If it doesn't happen when expected, further work-up is warranted to rule out a stroke or other problems that may have happened during the coma.
