So sorry: I am sorry for your daughter's illness. Sepsis can be caused by many bacteria, including mrsa. Cultures would identify which bacteria are causing the infection. I wish you and your daughter well.

Possibly but...: Very sorry to hear this-my great sympathy. Most utis are caused by gram negative bacteria like e. Coli , klebsiella, enterobacter, etc, though if there was a site mersa could do it too. They can all cause severe septicemia and shock and the complications. Hope you are getting some support through this.
