My 9 year old grandson ran a high fever for a few days last week with no other symptoms other than no appetite. tylenol reduces the fever and it went away after a couple of days. he came home from school yesterday with 101 fever that quickly went away.

Time to see doc: For fevers over 100-101 that last more than 4 or 5 days, i strongly recommend seeing his doc. Usually, the fevers with uncomplicated viral illnesses like colds go away within 3-4 days, so the fact that he had high fevers last week and now this week is more concerning.
