Son is 10 year old, fever for the last 6 days, tylenol helps in keeping fever out for some time but it comes back, also developed some cough but not extreme. there is no problem with urine or bowel movement. waiting for doc tests to come back?

Most short term fever in kids is due to a viral infection (any one of many) and should spontaneously resolve in 2-3 days. 6 days is a bit long. Need to see a pediatrician (before the wknd).
