Various: There are many metal types used. Most are alloys and are not one metal. Some plates are stainless steel. Some are titanium. Most nails or rods are made of titanium. Joint replacements are made of many different alloys and there are too many to list here. Most common is cobalt chrome.

Varies: alloys: The combination of metals used has varied over the years with titanium being one popular metal. However each company may have a proprietary metal allow that it employs. This should be available for your review upon request prior to or after surgery.
