Angioedema??: Sounds like angioedema (atypical swelling of the deeper dermal tissues) but it could also be an orbital cellulitis (skin infection) which can be serious. I would have a physician at least see it to determine the severity.

Hard to know: The "differential" for such a problem is rather long. Without a physical exam and more information, i can't be specific. If this has been going on for more than a week or so and is not improving on its own, i would get it checked out. If you have severe symptoms like fever >101.5f, associated redness, pain, vision changes, etc, you should get checked out immediately.
