Common reactions: You describe a minor head injury. If you are knocked unconscious, or if you experience new symptoms (eg,weakness, double vision, seizure, loss of balance) or if you feel worse, you should see a doctor for an exam. Swelling is very common when the scalp is bruised, and neck muscles often tighten up, especially over the 2-3 days following the injury.
