That would depend: On what was wrong with your foot. All you told us was that you have wound with 6 stitches. I have had patients walk in a surgical shoe with more stitches than that. So what was wrong, what was done to fix, how swollen the foot is are all factors. Sounds like you need to get rid of the swelling so elevation and ice are important. I would listen to your doctor to inform you when it's okay to walk.
