Unlikely: Familial cardiomyopathy does not cause miscarriages. However, recurring pregnancy losses may have a genetic cause and should be evaluated, probably by chromosome testing for you and your husband. Cardiomyopathy can be caused by mutations of sarcomeric and other genes.

Your history...: Sounds concerning for a possible condition called 'thrombophilia' -where your body is prone to producing blood clots, this can occur in the placenta and cut-off blood supply to the growing baby. 3 miscarriages after 11 wks (esp after seeing +heartbeat), then at 16 weeks - which is unusually far along for miscarriage sounds like it. U can have bloodwork to test for anticardiolipin antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, & maybe a few other conditions. Probably not due to fam hx of the cardiomyopathy.
