This condition is diagnosed by a DXA scan (bone density scan). Effective treatments are currently available if you indeed were found to have osteoporosis.

Soft or brittle bone: Osteoporosis refers to softening of the bones of the skeleton. It is a silent disease, that is, it causes no physical symptoms, but increases the risk of a fracture of the bone. If there is a question of the diagnosis of osteoporosis, bone density testing would be recommended and treatment can be initiated. A healthy diet, with calcium and vit d, combined with regular exercise is recommended.
