Two years: After any DVT the recommendation is to wear a compression stocking 30-40 mmhg for two years. I think for your age and medical history of DVT , you should always wear the compression stocking for any kind of travel for more than an hour for the rest of your life.

The entire flight: You should wear the compression stockings for the entire flight and don't take them off until you get home or to your destination. Also, try to get up and walk around during the flight if possible. If not, flex and contract your calf muscles to keep the blood flowing.
