A member asked:

My daughter is always having her nose blocked on waking up in the morning. the result is that she blows her nose out violently with serious irritating noise coming out of her nose. what can we do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several Reasons: Typically when the symptoms are worse in the morning allergy to the bedroom environment is most likely. In patients like this i try an intranasal steroid spray or an intranasal antihistamine spray prior to going to bed to see if that helps in the morning. Controlling dust in the bedroom and making it as hypoallergenic as possible is also beneficial. Consult with an allergist or an ent.
