Usually not: Any mass that persist for more than two weeks needs a check; the most common worrisome item is the very benign but annoying bartholin's cyst.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. A common cause of lump at the opening of vagina is a Bartholin cyst. If the "lump" has been there for more than a couple of weeks, it would be prudent to see your doctor.
