Academic center: Have your primary care doctor refer you to a hepatologist, preferably in an academic center where experimental agents are more readily available.

A cure is likely: We have some new medicines that usually result in cure. The US government is now talking about making this pricey medicine free for prisoners, as they are likely to make others sick, so if there is any justice or common sense in Washington (which I doubt), it should soon be free for everyone. Be politically alert, get to an academic center, and probably you will have a good outcome.
