Type 1= need insulin: If you are a type 1 diabetic, that means your body does not make insulin, thus the only treatment is insulin. No pills. Make sure you indeed do have type 1 diabetes. For now, you might be over-treated because your level goes as low as 25. This is very dangerous and can cause early dementia. Talk to your doc to possibly have your regimen reevaluated.

This is serious: You need to be under the care of a competent, dedicated specialist. Having your blood sugar going as low as 25 does not just suggest overtreatment -- it suggests grave danger. The diabetes pill is mostly for type II diabetics where insulin resistance, rather than insulin lack, is the main problem.
