Individualized: There is no single diet that is best for everyone, as we are all genetically unique & thus nutrient needs vary. However, i believe almost everyone will benefit from a diet based primarily on organic fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts & seeds with avoidance of fried, highly processed & genetically-modified foods. A basic template for a healthy diet is at www.Drfuhrman.Com/library/foodpyramid.Aspx.

No 1 best diet.: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.
