After being exposed to water, the person will develop hives and a rash with intense itching and pain. Aquagenic urticaria usually affects children, teenagers and young adults. Carpal Tunnel: Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. This is a pinched nerve in the wrist. Encourage her to see a hand surgeon and get nerve tests. Given her symptoms she will likely require a carpal tunnel release surgery. You want to catch this before she has any permanent nerve damage.
