Aquagenic Urticaria: Aquagenic urticaria is a very rare skin disorder where a person is allergic to water. After being exposed to water, the person will develop hives and a rash with intense itching and pain. Aquagenic urticaria usually affects children, teenagers and young adults. The person may have aquagenic urticaria for one year or many years. Antihistamines my help treat this skin condition.

Carpal Tunnel: Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. This is a pinched nerve in the wrist. Encourage her to see a hand surgeon and get nerve tests. Given her symptoms she will likely require a carpal tunnel release surgery. You want to catch this before she has any permanent nerve damage.
