A member asked:

I've been loosing my voice for the past year for months at a time. what is the cause of that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Voice abuse: Losing the voice or hoarseness or aphonia for months at a time is not typical of infectious disease but can be consistent with voice abuse. Vocal fold nodules, polyps or cysts can be present. You need to have an ENT doc evaluate your larynx.
