It did happen: Usually Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) works right away. The most common side effects are loss of appetite and sleep problems. While the 10 lbs in 6 days cannot be all fat, it doesn't seem good and you might wind up with some dehydration. I wouldn't hesitate to contact the dr who prescibed the Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) to update him or or her about this. Good luck and best wishes.
