Is there a link between kidney problems and developing astigmatism in a 4 year old?

Astigmatism & Kidney: Usually no direct correlation with kidney as astigmatism is due to a football shaped cornea. Kidney disease could be incidentally associated. Theoretically, kidney infection causing high fever may cause astigmatism (anecdotal reports). Clinically not common.
