Hard to say.: Sharp pain that is short lived is usually not the result of ear infection. The sharp noise is also difficult to evaluate, although these noises may not be originating in the ears. Trouble hearing may be subjective and not truly present. These are the type of symptoms that need professional evaluation by an ENT doctor.
