Ulcer: See a podiatrist as soon as you can. Keep clean with peroxide and bandage if foot is swollen, warm to touch and red go to er immediately.

Many things: Ulcer, injury, foreign body, infection, skin disease. See podiatrist to get appropriate diagnosis and treatment. This is especially true if you are diabetic or have other systemic conditions. Do not wait.

It can be : Just that an open sore, an ulcer, it could also be a form of skin cancer. It needs to be looked at to differentiate a bengin from malignant lesion. Please see the podiatrist or dermatologist.
