Age restricted: There are currently no products approved for children less then 4 years old. Some physicians still recommend smaller doses of otc products, but this is no longer advised. Current medications are restricted to ages 4 and up. For that age group, delsym is frequently recommended along with Mucinex (guaifenesin) for kids.
