How long does a runny/congested nose supposed to last in a toddler?my year old has has this plus a wet cough going on the 2nd week this coming week. dr gave her espalone&flexinase for a week but not clear yet. what can i do to help her?

Varies: I have seen it trigger symptoms for a month in some kids based on how deep the germ invades there bronchial tubes. Meds at that age rarely do more than give you something to do. Cough is a protective activity that allows them to bring debris up from deep in the lung.
