Is it a wise idea to take a toddler for a swim if he has a runny nose and a chesty cough?

?: If it is from a cold, then it is unwise. If these are long-term conditions, you should check with the pediatrician to find if he has hay fever and/or asthma. In the absence of a cold, he can swim if he can tolerate it.
