How do i get potassium out of my favorite high-potassium vegetables?

Soak in water?: It is known that soaking potatos helps to take out potassium. Theoretically may be possible from other vegetables but there is no supporting data.

Dietary restriction: Soaking them in water for about six hours is the answer i usually hear from dieticians. You should avoid foods high in potassium such as bananas oranges potatoes. Also avoid salt substitutes and sea salt which actually contain increased amounts of potassium.
