A member asked:

Low potassium from poor diet. corrected with high pot. foods and dr said im ok. last test 5.0. can it get too high from food, should i eat less of it?

Very difficult: if your kidney function is normal it is difficult to "overdose" on potassium because your kidneys excrete the excess. Having said that, it would be prudent to keep your overall potassium consumption where it is right now or slightly lower to keep your potassium at about 4-4.5 meq/dl.
