With the doctor: You and the physician meet with junior together. If the other parent is available, he/she should be present as well even if you are estranged. Junior is also old enough that he must be allowed to meet privately with the physician without anyone else present except the nurse or physician office assistant. Your family has my sympathy and the hope that a majority of cancers in this age get cures.
