Proper diagnosis: Helps. Seeing your doctor to make sure it is seborrhea or dandruff versus a skin infection. For dry scalp /dandruff try tea tree shampoo or Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo. There is evidence that dandruff may have a fungal component so tea tree shampoo or Nizoral (ketoconazole) may be very helpful.
