Cannot compare: They are two different medications- Flovent is steroid intended for long term benefit, pro air is albuterol intended for short term benefit. There are studies conducted, in which they show that Flovent is slightly better than pro air.

None: They are completely different. Flovent is a steroid anti-inflammatory and pro-air is a beta agonist bronchodilator. Probably the best would be spiriva, if your insurance covers it or you can afford it.

Apples and poranges: proair is a rescue inhaler to dilate your lungs while flovent is a cortisone to reduce inflammation (not for rescue treatment. One should not be used in place of the other but used together as prescribed by your physician., Good Luck
