A member asked:

What is air trapping? is it always related to asthma/copd, or can it be harmless/anxiety related?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Air trapping.: Air trapping is found in people with COPD wherein they chronically breathe in more air than they release, expanding the lungs and making breathing inefficient. Air swallowing happens with anxiety.
