Copd: The findings suggest airway changes from smoking. Did you also have a history of asthma which can contribute to these findings? The best thing you can do to avoid worsening of the COPD is to stop smoking entirely and avoid air pollution in general. If you have pulmonary symptoms, i suggest you have an evaluation by a pulmonologist.

COPD vs Asthma: At 28 yrs old possible long standing asthma. But giving smoking history possible early copd. Need to check Alpha 1 antitrypsin levels.Air trapping on cxr nonspecific.Need full pft(pulmonary function test). This means "hyperinflation" air getting into lungs but hard to get out. Causes are obstruction such as in asthma or copd. Other causes: chronic bronchitis or bronchiectasis. Need follow up.
