It is the 5th most common cancer in men and the 6th in women.

Common, not deadly: Skin cancer is very common, but thankfully most skin cancers (basal cells and squamous cells) are easily cured and rarely recur if treated appropriately. Early stage melanomas also have a high cure rate. All skin cancers can be dangerous. Look for skin lesions which grow, ulcerate, change color, bleed or cause other problems.
