Yes: Zetia (ezetimibe) works by decreasing cholesterol absorption in the intestine resulting in increased production of LDL receptors that work to bind and reduce LDL particles in the blood. Zetia (ezetimibe) can be used with other lipid lowering medications including statins, fibrates, niacin, cholesterol binding resins, and omega-3 (fish oil).
