Allergies are immune: Hyper- ige response to allergens is what causes an allergy. Many people do not have this. It is autoimmune inderectly, in that the inflammation from histamine and leukotrienes released by the bodies celles cause sinusitis, conjunctivitis, or asthma. I also beieve that even mild food allergies can worsen arthritis of the spondyloarthritis class, but this has not been systematically confirmed.
