Rest assured: Nothing invasive. He will of course get a history, any pertinent medical information, do an exam , and order some tests if needed.Or he may change the formula and give him some medications for reflux , constipation and gas.Sounds like your baby has bad constipation problem , too.Reason why he is screaming and in pain. Gi specialist will also make sure the rectum is not too tight.

Hx/Px & studies: Gi will likely review the history, do a physical with some attention to the rectal opening & decide if any lab or other studies are needed. You can prepare by writing down in a outline form when the issues started, anything that has been done so far & any worries you have. Related family history or stuff you've looked up should also be discussed. Good luck.
