Yes, see a doctor: You could have celiac disease, or sprue, which is essentially an allergy to gluten. There are specific tests for this and you should see your internist or GI doctor for further evaluation. Celiac is different than lactose intolerance however. Ibs symptoms could come from undiagnosed celiac disease potentially.

There is a chance: There is always a chance. If you have the diarrheal version of IBS then screening for Celiac is not unreasonable.
