Likely prostate: Even though he is 40, his symptoms are likely from his prostate. A simple exam should be able to determine his prostate size. Then his doctor can discuss possible treatment.

UTI ?: At age 40 he should also be checked for prostate by a urologist. For the urinary frequency, you need a urine and culture exams to find out if he has uti.
